GPU filters/shader effects/GPGPU?

Love what you're doing here, thanks!! I'm a novice, so I don't know what MediaElement can do, but how about GPU shader effects on frames? Could someone write a code plugin in HLSL or nVidia's CUDA (GPGPU) to modify frames as texture elements?

Wrote a question about this on C9 a while back:

...still don't really understand the roadmap/strategy for GPU filters in video.

You can do your own pixel shaders on the video because you have access to the pixels you are writing to the VideoRendererElement, but that may be too much work. I would wait for the WPF summer update as pixel shaders will be included in the WPF framework and will work on the VideoRendererElement.

Fantastic on both counts! Thanks for the quick reply.
